Equus quagga. Herds are built from harems of one stallion with several mares and foals, while young males form bachelor groups. Frontier notes that each zebra's stripes are unique, that herd members take turns keeping watch while others sleep standing, and that herds follow the rains over long distances.

Planning notes for this animal

A herd species: plan for several animals and a wide, open layout. It suits an African plains theme; any mixed savannah idea still needs in-game compatibility evidence.

These are our design suggestions, not verified welfare requirements.

Habitat requirements and compatibility

Verify herd size, stallion limits, land area and compatibility in game. Bachelor groups in the wild do not tell you how the game handles extra males.

Space, temperature, group limits and pairings remain unverified. Planning tools use fictional demo data.
