Which animals count as aquarium animals?
This list follows Frontier's own Aquarium category. It doesn't include every animal that swims. The Hawksbill Turtle and West Indian Manatee are aquarium animals. The African Penguin, Common Hippopotamus and Saltwater Crocodile are terrestrial habitat animals.
Plan water conditions first, then size the tank
Frontier has confirmed that aquarium animals need enough water volume and the right salinity (freshwater, saltwater or brackish) and temperature. A bigger tank won't make up for the wrong water type. For each tank, pick species that share the same water conditions before you think about dimensions. See the aquarium building guide.
A shared habitat category doesn't mean two species can share a tank. Check cohabitation in the game before you mix them.
