Transport Fever 3 cargo guide and line planner

Compare two cargo line setups using your own numbers, then check which part of a route has the lowest estimated capacity. This guide separates announced Transport Fever 3 changes from details that still need in-game testing.

Pre-release scope: Transport Fever 3 is scheduled for September 29, 2026. The linked calculator uses your own figures; game-specific economics are not yet verified.

What is confirmed before release?

Urban Games says cargo waits at its industry of origin until a player collects it, and players control where it goes. The official cargo developer blog also describes warehouses, delivery deadlines and 37 cargo types in four categories: liquid, bulk, flatbed and goods.

What can this planner tell you?

Enter a cargo target and either load per trip with completed round trips, or your own estimate of one vehicle's capacity per period. Compare two setups against the same target. A separate chain check compares your estimated production and transport stages to find the first capacity limit. Neither check predicts profit or delivery timing.

What remains to check after launch?

Vehicle capacities, line frequencies, industry output and financial formulas can vary by vehicle and save. Use your own in-game figures, then compare the estimate with actual line statistics. We will add verified game-specific rules only after testing the released game.

Start with the symptom

These checks help narrow down a cargo problem. They are based on announced systems, not a tested release-build walkthrough.

Cargo is at an industry but vehicles leave empty
Check the intended pickup point, cargo handling category and your line's loading choice. Urban Games says cargo now stays at its origin until collected, and integrated docks can load more slowly than dedicated facilities.
Vehicles queue at pickup
Compare the origin's output with the loading point and vehicles serving it. More vehicles alone will not speed up a slow dock; the official developer article describes alternative and specialized stations.
Goods reach a transfer but the next leg falls behind
Compare each leg in the same time period. A warehouse can hold cargo between lines, but its actual throughput and delivery timing need checking in the released game. Check an estimated chain bottleneck.
The line moves cargo but misses your volume target
Enter your own per-vehicle capacity or trip assumptions, then compare two fleet setups in the capacity planner. Its answer is a theoretical ceiling, not a profit or deadline prediction.
